Angelfish (1994)

Angelfish es una de las primeras bandas que integró Shirley Manson, la actual vocalista de Garbage. Supongo que la primera fue Goodbye Mr. Mackenzie, pues ella fue una conformación que abarcó el periodo de los años 1989 hasta 1992, y al parecer tuvieron un relativo éxito. En esa banda Shirley participó como segunda voz.

En Angelfish sí fue la primera voz. La primera canción que escuché fue Heartbreak to hate y debo admitir que si me gustó la introducción de las baquetas y las guitarras. El sonido era algo místico, si podría usar ese término. Y eso es algo que podría asegurar de todo el disco. Además la temática está muy ligada entre sí.

Diría que Heartbreak to Hate, Tomorrow Forever, The Sun Won't Shine y por ultimo Sleep With Me están conectadas.

Sleep With Me, es la canción que más me estremece, y lo hace porque es BONITA, así en esos términos. Podría escucharla solo con la voz de Shirley.

You can love her, es otra buena canción que se aparta de la temática general. Algo así como de necesitar a alguien que la proteja porque es una nena. (que babosada) La canción es buena. La historia me entretuvo.

Suffocate Me, es una canción algo perversa, pero agradable.

Dogs in a Cage, es rara.
